MODESTO, CA • July 23, 2026 • Modern Woodmen Field
The Modesto Roadsters completed a three-game sweep of the RedPocket Mobiles with a 13-1 victory on Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Field. Logan Sutter homered in consecutive innings and drove in four runs, Osiris Johnson went a perfect 4-for-4, and Devyn Hernandez limited RedPocket to one run over seven innings. The win was Modesto's ninth in a row and sixth straight at home, and the Roadsters remain the only unbeaten team in the second half of the Pioneer Baseball League at 9-0.
Modesto scored twice in the first, as Max Handron came home on a balk and Kingston Liniak singled to left-center to bring in Johnson. Marquis Jackson's leadoff triple and Spence Coffman's sacrifice fly pulled RedPocket within 2-1 in the third, but the Roadsters buried the answer in the bottom half: Johnson lifted a sacrifice fly, Tyler Williams and Justin Boyd delivered two-out RBI hits, and Sutter launched a three-run homer to left to cap a six-run inning. The fourth brought five more against reliever Bobby Spencer, as Williams doubled home two, Boyd added a sacrifice fly, Sutter went deep to left again, and Jacob Lojewski doubled in the final run of the 13-1 lead.
Hernandez (W, 1-0) scattered four hits and struck out seven, and Julien Hachem worked a hitless eighth in his Modesto debut before Lucas Alaniz threw a hitless ninth. Kade Walker (L, 0-1) allowed eight runs on 10 hits over three innings. Sutter finished 3-for-4 and tripled his season home run total in the span of five outs, Johnson added a stolen base and closed the series 11-for-14 with nine RBIs, Williams drove in three, and Lojewski collected two doubles and a walk while catching all nine innings. Modesto outscored RedPocket 36-15 in the series.
Modesto opens a three-game weekend series at the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds on Friday night at Colusa Casino Stadium in Marysville before RedPocket returns to Modern Woodmen Field next week. Tickets are available at modestoroadsters.com.
